Take care “down there” (aka your hemorrhoids, post-labor perineum, or episiotomy) with Earth Mama's herbal sitz bath compresses filled with organic herbs traditionally used to soothe and comfort “down there” during pregnancy, after childbirth, or anytime you need a little TLC in that department. Packed in easy-to-use, individual herbal sachets, each one is perfect for one use.

The herbal sitz bath compresses can be cooled and gently “tucked” to help ease those pretty places, or use the brewed infusion to make postpartum padsicles or a sitz bath.

Sitz Bath: A How-To

To make a sitz bath for hemorrhoids, post-labor perineum issues, or episiotomy, you'll need a sitz bath tub, which is usually found in the “home health care” section of your local drug store. Fill the sitz bath tub with lukewarm brewed herbal sitz bath solution, then soak your "down there" parts for about 15 minutes.

If you want to create a soothing compress, lay the herbal sitz bath pad in a shallow bowl and cover with boiling water. Steep for approx. 5 min., and let cool. Very gently drain extra liquid from pad, leaving it moist but not soaking. Be gentle and don’t squeeze! The herbal pads are fragile and can burst. Cool in the fridge and gently apply moist pad directly to perineum. Ahhhhhhh.

But wait! Postpartum padsicles are a thing, and they’re great: get crafty and use the healing herbally goodness in another way. Save the remaining liquid, pour onto a regular postpartum pad, and freeze it for a clever little perineal ice pack. Trust us – it’s one of life’s secret little wins. Follow Earth Mama’s DIY steps here!

What is a sitz bath, you ask? Well, it looks a lot like a hat but we wouldn't recommend wearing it! You can also click to learn more about how to use a sitz bath too.

Great!!!

Smells so good and so relaxing as a bath! Love how easy it is (like a tea bag) to just pop into the bath or freeze for a padsicle!

My go-to for postpartum healing

I've used this herbal blend for my past three babies and plan to use it for my coming fourth. Every time it's helped me heal and take time to unwind between feeds and adjusting to a new life postpartum. Will always use and recommend.

New Mama Care

I was looking for something different to give my sister at her baby shower, so I put together a mom care kit for her. The day after her baby was born she was gratefully using all the earth mama products I had given her. Organic, chemical free, and as an extra perk, local. Seeing her relieved look that she had some tools to help relieve her postpartum discomfort let me know that these products are amazing.
